We love owls! We love owls so much, we’ve always said if we ever had a business, we’d want an owl theme and owl logos plastered all over the place. And we also love hats. As we were neck deep in a pool in Vegas, adult beverages in hand, we thought “What about a clothing brand with an owl logo?” And then BOOM! HootersAndHats.com was mentioned, mostly as a laughable name that was fun to say. But that “fun to say” name didn’t leave our minds. The idea grew, and we just couldn’t let go! Two years were spent working on logo designs, and picking fabric samples that weren’t just comfortable, but also quality, and cool. Once the first prototypes were made, we wore them! And we wore them hard! We gave them to friends and family. And they put them through rigorous battle testing on Summer Vacations, Fall camping trips, hikes, gym days, electric bike booze cruises. Ok maybe not all of those are rigorous, but they put them through daily uses for months/years. And the most common responses were “I want more!” “This is my favorite hat!” “I feel it’s gotten even better the more I wear it!” “Can you make more colors?” We knew at that point, our so called “hard work” and research had paid off.

Maybe you can accurately toss a cold one from the back of a boat to a floating river friend. Maybe you make a damn fine (or at least damn strong) cocktail. Maybe your camp fires roar to the heights of heaven.
